Groundbreaking Set For Housing Complex At Site Of Former Garfield Synagogue

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Work is set to begin to turn the old B’nai Israel Synagogue in Garfield into a housing complex.
The developer says it’ll preserve the historic architecture as it creates 45 apartments.

The rotunda will remain intact for community use.
Plans also call for an urban farm
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held this coming Friday.
