Fifth Avenue Back Open After Garbage Truck Falls Through Parking Pad

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Fifth Avenue between Boulevard of the Allies and the Birmingham Bridge has been re-opened after a garbage truck partially fell through a concrete parking pad.
The truck was removed by a large crane nearly 13 hours after it fell Monday morning. The truck was placed on Fifth Avenue, safely off the parking pad.
Allegheny Crane and Rigging was called around 10 a.m., nearly three hours after the truck fell, to help remove the vehicle.
