Donations to Pittsburgh milk bank help babies in need

Denise O’Connor opens the lid on a giant freezer, packed to the top with 5,000 ounces of frozen breast milk in small plastic bags. In an adjoining room, three milk bank employees decked in lab coats, plastic face guards and blue hair nets pour pasteurized defrosted milk into glass vials to be combined into small bottles to be distributed.
