Crew cuts down 58-foot blue spruce to become Pittsburgh's Christmas tree

A handful of curious neighbors gathered around a 58-foot blue spruce just after dawn Saturday to see the majestic tree lifted into the air and dragged away on a flatbed truck. The City of Pittsburgh cut down this year's Christmas tree from the rental property at 814 S. Braddock Ave. in Regent Square.
