Coronavirus In Pittsburgh: Parking Authority Furloughing Officers And Technicians

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The Pittsburgh Parking Authority is furloughing all of its officers and meter technicians.
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, revenues are down because on-street meter enforcement has been temporarily halted.April’s meter revenue is projected to be about $65,000.
The monthly average is $1.7 million.
The authority will maintain health coverage for the furloughed workers.
