Business briefs: Pittsburgh-area gas prices up

Average retail gasoline prices in the Pittsburgh region sat around $2.44 a gallon Monday morning, up 3 cents a gallon in the last week, according to GasBuddy's survey. The increase is largely due to higher oil prices, which have stayed above $50 a barrel amid the likelihood that the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will put a lower limit on oil production.
