Ambulance Crashes While Transporting Patient

FREEPORT (AP) – Emergency dispatchers say three people – including an elderly patient – were being treated after the ambulance they were riding in crashed into a ditch in western Pennsylvania.
Armstrong County 911 dispatchers say a medical helicopter was initially thought to be necessary, but wasn’t called after crews responded on the ground to the crash in South Buffalo Township.
The crash was reported about 10:50 a.m. Wednesday.
