Allegheny Co. Health Dept., US Steel Finalizing Agreement Setting Up Community Fund

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department and U.S. Steel have finalized a settlement.
The order was first filed after a fire at Clairton Coke Works on Christmas Eve in 2018.
The agreement includes a community benefit trust for the affected communities of Clairton, Glassport, Liberty, Lincoln and Port Vue.The health department says these communities — which are most “immediately” impacted by emissions — will be able to use these funds for projects to
