2 Corrections Officers Attacked At Allegheny County Jail

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Two corrections officers were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after being attacked by an inmate at the Allegheny County Jail.
According to Deputy Warden Jason Beasom, the incident happened just after 4 p.m. as one of the guards was removing an inmate’s handcuffs.
It reportedly happened in Pod 6E.
The deputy warden says the inmate became aggressive and struck the officer in his eye.
