Former Phoenixville Mayor, longtime coach Leo Scoda honored

UPPER PROVIDENCE >> Leo Scoda, a man from the coal regions of Pittston who made Phoenixville his second home and became a legend in these parts as a teacher, tennis coach and politician, was feted during Health Care Access' fifth annual Roast & Toast Thursday night at the RiverCrest Golf Club.Some 100 people attended the gala to help raise money while at the same time paying tribute to Scoda.
