Oklahoma man receives surprising phone call when uncle’s Purple Heart turns up at Tucson Goodwill

NORMAN, Okla. – A 75-year-old Oklahoma man received a surprising phone call when his uncle’s Purple Heart turned up at a Goodwill in Tucson, Ariz.
Second Lt. Frederick Delahunt was killed in action during World War II, NBC affiliate KVOA reports.
Somehow, his Purple Heart was discovered in a box of donations at a Tucson Goodwill last week.
When Goodwill found the medal, the company teamed up with Purple Hearts Reunited to track down 2nd Lt. Delahunt’s family.
