Southfield council supports green building practices, Paris climate agreement

Many drops make an ocean, Southfield Mayor Ken Siver says.That's why he and the City Council are encouraging builders who work in the city to adopt green development practices -- and giving them incentives to do so.The council voted 6-1 recently to adopt a zoning ordinance supporting environmentally-friendly building, as well as a joint resolution in support of the Paris Climate Agreement.
