Emeryville's Shiba Ramen expands to Oakland

One of Shiba Ramen's bestsellers is the Spicy Ramen, with creamy sesame broth, spicy ground pork, togarashi peppers, soft-boiled egg, bok choy and green onions. Two chemists who turned their attention to the science of ramen - what's the optimal temperature for broth anyway, we wonder? - are now experimenting in a second, larger location in the East Bay.
