Jackson defeats Alcántara
Senator Marisol Alcántara, the incumbent in District 31, was defeated by challenger Robert Jackson in the primary election.
Jackson, a former City Councilmember, received 52 percent of the vote while Alcántara received 36 percent. Other challengers received votes were Tirso Pina (3 percent) and Thomas León (1 percent).
