Straight out of Brooklyn – the city’s video visitation program for prisoners on Rikers Island will, for the first time, be expanded beyond that borough.
The program, which allows families to conduct free live video chats with prisoners on Rikers Island, has been hosted at Brooklyn Public Library branches since 2014. Now, as of January, 22 li
