Weather Alert: Wintry mix across Tristate

There is a wintry blast of snow, freezing rain and sleet throughout New York City. As a result, the Department of Sanitation has issued a snow alert. A mixed bag of light snow, freezing rain and sleet are falling throughout the metro area and will continue through the rush hour. Forecasters say the wintry mix could transition to rain by the afternoon.
