The 'blizzard of 2015' could break the record for all-time snowfall in Manhattan.  The worst storm ever to hit the area was measured in Central Park in 2006. The blizzard in February of that year walloped the city with 26.9 inches of snow.  The second worst storm was in late December 1947. 25.8 inches of snow crippled the city in just hours.
