Timeline for Blizzard of 2015

What makes a blizzard a blizzard? There is specific criteria that must be met for a storm to be declared a blizzard. For starters, snow fall must reduce visibility to ¼ mile or less. Wind speeds or gusts must reach more than 35 mph. Conditions must last at least three hours. For the blizzard of 2015, that criteria is expected to be satisfied beginning Midnight Tuesday.
