Subway warning cut short

The all too familiar subway announcement by the conductor before the train leaves the station will reportedly be changing. "Stand clear of the closing doors, please" will be replaced by "Please stand clear." The purpose of shortening the warning is to decrease subway delays within the NYC subway system. Officials with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority have said they are working to improve conditions underground for mass transit riders.
