Report: Dirty hotel, restaurant linens

This story may make you think twice the next time you pick up a cloth napkin at a restaurant or slip in between the hotel sheets. A New York City council member's report claims industrial cleaning is often a very dirty business. The findings are disgusting: hotel sheets being re-ironed after use instead of thoroughly washed, clean hospital bedding transported in dirty bins, and restaurant napkins and tablecloths going through a visual inspection instead of soap and water.
