NYC to expand war on rats

New York City is expanding a program to help control the rampant rat population. One reason the rat problem is so tough: sheer numbers. A female rat can mate as many as 500 times in one session and a rat couple can have up to 2,000 baby rats a year. But the raunchy rodents are a menace to society and now the city Health Department is determined to move them out.
