Extreme heat warning

Some of the hottest temperatures of the season are expected Monday throughout the Tristate area. Partly cloudy skies with hazy, hot and humid conditions can make for a dangerous combination. The high Monday was expected to reach the low to mid-90s. In New York City, an Air Quality Health Advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Consolidated Edison is reducing power to several NYC neighborhoods.
