Delays on several subway lines

Signal problems and FDNY activity have caused delays across a number of New York City subway lines. A fire at Lexington Avenue and East 59th Street in Manhattan was causing problems on the N and Q lines at mid-morning Wednesday. The signal problems were affecting the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, "F'', "D'' and "S'' lines. There also were issues with northbound "R'' trains.
