De Blasio to introduce horse carriage ban bill

Mayor Bill de Blasio will reportedly introduce a bill to the city council next week banning horse drawn carriages. Despite opposition from the drivers, a union and actor Liam Neeson, De Blasio has vowed to remove the carriages. Replacing the carriages could be antique cars, a plan supported by De Blasio. The drivers would have one year to find another job. They will be offered free permits to operate green cabs.
