Country star Don Williams, whose soft spoken style, easygoing demeanor and tall stature earned him the nickname "Gentle Giant," has died at age 78. He racked up 17 #1 country hits in the '70s and '80s, including "Tulsa Time," "I Believe in You," "'Til the Rivers All Run Dry" and "You're My Best Friend."
