An art comedy show to kick off the weekend

I always enjoy a comedy show with a slightly different hook, so this Friday, April 13 Modern Whitney show at Friends and Lovers jumped right out. The concept goes like this: A panel of comics analyze a well-known painting or sculpture and each provides his or her take on its meaning. Afterwards, someone who actually knows what they’re talking about (i.e. a legit art historian) gives the audience the real deal explanation and describes the work’s cultural impact. Hosts Matt Harki
