Column: Storefront vacancy rates are low in the Bronx, thanks to restaurants

The Bronx is reportedly experiencing a healthy storefront vacancy rate of less than 10%, according to the New York Times article “A Surge of New Restaurants Drives New York City’s Storefront Revival.”
This is particularly significant because many of the storefronts have been filled by restaurants, meaning the borough’s diverse food scene is also thriving. Additionally, the Times reported that restaurants and bars have created over 300,000 jobs in The Bronx.
