Bronx man sentenced to 20 years for fatal 2022 shooting

A Bronx man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for first-degree manslaughter after fatally shooting another man in a 2022 incident, Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced Tuesday.
Diquinn Lacend, 31, of 328 East 145th St., was sentenced on Sept. 5 by Bronx Supreme Court Justice Ralph Fabrizio. Along with his 20-year prison sentence, Lacend will serve five years of post-release supervision. He pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter on July 25, 2024.
