Duke Energy, advocates tout offshore-wind benefits — despite higher cost — at renewables summit

As North Carolina regulators prepare their plan on the least-cost route for eliminating carbon emissions at Duke Energy Corp., experts conceded during the Southeast Renewable Energy Summit today that offshore wind is significantly more expensive than solar, and is likely to remain so.
