With snow and sleet moving in, schools are closed or closing early

Schools around the Capital Region are closed or closing early as the region braces for a winter storm that will initially drop several inches of snow and then cover the snow with a layer of potentially dangerous sleet.The snow is expected to start later Tuesday morning and flakes could fall at a rate of 2 inches an hour. But forecasters say the worst of the storm could be the sleet that is expected to begin hitting in the mid-afternoon.
