WEXT extends reach with new home at 106.1 FM

TROY — It was pioneering alt-rock band The Replacements that semi-famously extolled alternative radio in a song titled "Left of the Dial." Now the Capital Region's alternative station, WEXT, has added to its reach with a home on the right of the dial.WMHT Public Media on Thursday announced the signal expansion of its "Adult Album Alternative" radio station EXIT 97.7, aka WEXT, with the addition of 106.1 FM.
