UAlbany lacrosse loses season opener 13-5 at Syracuse

Noah Taylor and Tehoka Nanticoke had two goals apiece for the 14th-ranked Great Danes, who were held to their fewest goals since a 15-0 loss to Stony Brook on April 24, 2010.Syracuse (1-1) avoided its first 0-2 start since 1974 and avenged a 15-3 home loss to the Great Danes last season.The Orange scored five unanswered goals to take an 8-3 lead in the second quarter.Syracuse goalie Drake Porter made 12 saves while UAlbany's Nate Siekierski had 16 in his first college start.
