Troy plans to replace Campbell Avenue Bridge without halting commuters

TROY – The 40-year-old Campbell Avenue Bridge that carries commuters and college students over the Wynants Kill will be replaced with a new $3.777 million span that’s currently in the design phase.The city intends to build the replacement bridge so that commuter traffic headed to and from the east side of the city and the outlying suburbs to I-787 and Hudson Valley Community College will not have to be detoured, a city spokesman said Monday.
