Troopers probe fatal fire in Adirondacks

LYON MOUNTAIN - The death of a 22-year-old man in a house fire is being investigated by the State Police.Codi Smithers died in the Sunday blaze at the Second Street home in this community near Dannemora, troopers said.His father, Christopher Smithers, 49, suffered burns to the face, hands and torso, troopers said. He was treated at the University of Vermont Health Network at Champlain Valley Physician Hospital in Plattsburgh.
