Tens of thousands without power as wind whips upstate

ALBANY - Punishing winds left thousands of utility customers without electrical service Tuesday morning.As of 8:30 a.m., National Grid reported that 26,666 of their customers were without power across a wide swarth of the Capital Region, Central New York, the southern Adirondack Mountains and western New York.
