SUNY to focus on diversity hires

ALBANY - New York's public colleges and universities are setting their sights on hiring 1,000 professors from underrepresented communities in the next decade.State University of New York Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson announced the initiative during her State of the University System address at the Albany Capital Center on Thursday morning. The speech also highlighted her plan to focus on online learning options and expand remedial services for new students.
