State reviews Troy's proposed 2020 budget

TROY – The city should buy its police cars and other vehicles out of the annual budget instead of relying on going into debt to make the $2.788 million in purchases, the state’s review of the city’s proposed 2020 budget advises.This was one of the key findings made by the State Comptroller’s Office in its study of the proposed $74.7 million budget, which carries a 3.4 percent property tax increase.
