State Power Authority offers $3 million for electric vehicle purchase

AlbanyThe New York Power Authority is offering $3 million in funding to support purchases of electric vehicles by local governments and electrical cooperatives.Since 2003, the authority has spent about $8 million to support the purchase of 74 vehicles statewide under its Municipal and Rural Cooperative Electric Utilities Electric-Drive Vehicle Program.
