State golf tournaments called off

The New York State Golf Association did all it could to try and make its tournament schedule work this year. In the end, the coronavirus pandemic would not let that happen.Monday, the NYSGA announced the cancellation of six championship tournaments -- including the New York State Women's Senior and Super Senior Amateur at Pinehaven -- as well as the organization's entire amateur series.
