South Glens Falls swindler faces judge - and angry victims

BALLSTON SPA - The Saratoga County court house was packed with victims looking to speak out Monday at the sentencing of the woman that swindled them out of $1 million for the purchase of or down payments on pre-fab homes.Sherri A. Burton spent the money she took at casinos and on the Home Shopping Network.Sherrie A. Burton, 64, pleaded guilty Sept. 23 to grand larceny and scheme to defraud, both felonies.
