Schumer: FDA must help ease Capital Region shingles shot shortage

U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer visited Cohoes on Friday to urge the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to declare an ongoing shortage of shingles vaccines an emergency — a move that would allow the federal agency to reinstate furloughed staff and help alleviate the shortage.
