Schenectady cop in high profile death case back on the job

SCHENECTADY — Mark Weekes, the veteran Schenectady cop at the center of a 2017 case involving a man who died in police custody, is back on the city payroll after taking voluntary leave of absence over the summer.Mayor Gary MCarthy confirmed Thursday that Weekes, who has 10 years on the job, returned to work on days as a patrolman New Year's Day.
