S. Glens Falls woman arrested on welfare charges

FORT EDWARD - A South Glens Falls woman was arrested for allegedly filing false informationto obtain social services benefits that she is not entitled to, Washington County Sheriff's Office said.Britney L. Shaffer, 30, of Harrison Avenue was charged with filing a false instrument, a felony, on Feb. 1, after she allegedly filed false information on July 5, 2018 to receive SNAP benefits, deputies said.
