Region's jobless rate at 18-year low for December

The Capital Region's unemployment rate fell to 3.3 percent in December from 4.2 percent a year earlier but edged up from 3.1 percent from November, the state Labor Department reported Wednesday.The rate was the lowest for December since 2000, when it also stood at 3.1 percent.
