Rain, snow and sleet roll in with New Year in Albany

The new year will begin under a haze of snow, sleet and freezing rain, according to the National Weather Service in Albany.Forecasters predict as much as a half inch of rain could fall.The temperature during the day will peak in the mid-40s and then drop into the high 30s during the evening.
