Plug Power starts making more advanced fuel cells

COLONIE - Plug Power, the Latham fuel cell manufacturer, said it has started making a next-generation version of its GenDrive fuel cell designed to be used in fork lift trucks.The new fuel cells have larger hydrogen fuel tanks that result in a 10 percent increase in run-time, and they also have wireless communication capabilities that allow for more data collection to manage company fleets. The new units will be first ready for customers in March.
