Owner of Cohoes' Smith's Restaurant dies

COHOES _ Joseph Hostig, an area property developer who bought and reopened the historic Smith’s Restaurant in Cohoes a decade ago and was part of an investment group that took over and revitalized the ailing Normanside Country Club in Delmar in 2011, died Wednesday night. His son Dave, who is managing director of Normanside, announced the death in a Facebook post.
