Opinions differ on need for Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership

BALLSTON SPA – Support for the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership, the taxpayer-funded organization that is meant to boost the county's economy, is divided.Jonathan Schopf, one of Clifton Park's two representatives on the Saratoga County Board ofSupervisors, said that the county's 2019 budget, in which SCPP was allotted $775,000, will be the last one he supports. He said he finds SCPP "problematic," citing its President Marty Vanags' spending on travel ($154,000 in 35 months, a Times U
