Mysterious creatures shape New York folklore

Bruce Hallenbeck wrote the book on mysterious creatures in New York. 
But if you ask him, he didn’t have much of a choice in the matter. 
“When my family got involved with these sightings and experiences… I had to be involved,” said the author and Kinderhook resident. 
Released in 2013, “Monsters of New York: Mysterious Creatures in the Empire State” explores the possibility of elusive beings lurking across the state.
