Local impact uncertain amid $200 million in cuts at KeyCorp

ALBANY -  Amid plans by KeyCorp to cut $200 million in companywide operational costs during 2019, it's unclear what the impact will be on local KeyBank branches or the bank's back-office operations in the Capital Region.KeyBank has 44 branches locally and $11.6 billion in deposits, giving it the biggest chunk of market share at nearly 40 percent. The bank, which is headquartered in Cleveland, traces its roots back to Albany and still has a large presence with about 800 employees locall
